The war god: The artifact is a virtual reality action-adventure title that follows the story of a historical Chinese hero. Originally in Chinese language, with Chinese voice acting, the game has you fight enemies and explore areas in a very fast-paced fashion, fighting both undead soldiers and wayward explorers as a shaman using a magic wand to both triumph and manipulate enemies.
Magic More Than The Eye Can See
The game's combat system is somewhat simple, but has enough options to keep the player interested. Graphically speaking, the game is beautiful, with strong particle effects, particularly fire, and good character design. This beauty is held back somewhat, however, by a lack of supersampling. On more advanced devices and settings, the game becomes blurry. On the other hand, the limited music and voice acting is very well-done when it does come up.
A Battle To Be Won, If You Can
Though the game is quite short, it is a well-made experience graphically and will look beautiful if you have a proper setup. The game only supports the HTC Vive and has limited language support as of this writing, but if you can look past that and love the idea of ancient spelunking, it's worth trying out this particular title.
